Organic Hydrocarbon Extractions

Hydrocarbons act as non-polar solvents and are both very efficient and comprehensive in extracting critical and desirable components from the plants. We use only 99.9%+ pure solvents in all of our extraction processes and leverage either n-Butane (straight chain) or d-Limonene (cyclic) as the hydrocarbons of choice depending on our clients needs.

Organic Alcohol Extractions

Organic Alcohol has been shown to be one of the most effective cannabinoid solvents that can produce an efficient extraction, while retaining high terpene content, and is also safe for consumption in its raw solvent form. We perform a chilled alcohol extraction to minimize tendency of the polar solvent to capture less-desirable components in the concentrate.

Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Extractions

CO2 extraction is already a standard extraction method for the food, dry cleaning and herbal supplement industries. The CO2 extraction process allows compounds to be extracted with little damage and low toxicity; it utilizes a high-pressure vessel containing cannabis, which then has Supercritical CO2 inserted into the vessel, and pumped through a filter where it is separated from the plant matter once the pressure is released.

Winterization, Distillation, & Solventless Concentrates

Winterization with a secondary solvent to removes fats and waxes.

Ensuring THC is at compliant levels in crude oil to be sold as a raw hemp product.

Distillate cannabinoid fractions resulting in an oil that is very light in color, has almost no taste or aroma, is very consistent, solvent-free and fully decarboxylated.

Botanical Extraction & Refinement - From Soil to Oil

The Loveland Molecular Laboratories extraction facility is one of few licensed and certified facilities in the State of Colorado focused on whole-plant, non-psychotropic cannabinoid processing of botanical material. The laboratory is housed in a 2500 square ft. facility in Loveland, Colorado. In addition to processing all product from the Elite Botanicals farms, we are able to provide processing services to 3rd-parties across a variety of botanical extraction methodologies, solvents, and systems.
These include:
